This  course is aimed at developing a supplementary reading material to fulfill students' need. Students taking this course are required to actively prepare and participate in multiple, student-led. graded formal discussion. and the purpose of this course is to help students write convincing, well developed, and well organized essays that synthesize, document, and respond to various sources on a given topic

Therefore, it implies that there should be supplementary reading materials for the teacher to develop reading to meet the needs of these students.
